Big congratulations to our club president Abbey and her fellow team members Kate, Wes and Travis winning bronze at the Brisbane team tournament yesterday.
The day started at 8am and finished at 9.30pm. The 7 teams were challenged with heat all day, wind in the afternoon and then a chilly evening. We watched some players suffer with severe cramping, receive pickleball ‘tattoos’, even bloodied knees from falls. WHAT A DAY! We were very fortunate to be able to watch the best in Queensland compete on Sunday.
Abbey said she played a total of 24 games. We all struggle with 7 games a session!
Colin and I have taught over 300 people how to play pickleball. We are so pleased to see many of these people taking the sport to advanced levels and this includes Wes and Travis!
